Water & Waste Water Treatment

In water treatment and depuration operations, different processes are carried out in order to obtain a product that complies with the stringent health and legal legislation of each country.During the different treatments to which water is subjected, the mechanical seals may come into contact with sediments, organic matter, dissolved substances such as calcium and magnesium (hard water), sulphate and carbon dioxide (acid water), manganese (sewage water), nitrates (water contaminated by fertilisers), etc.

Pulp & Paper

The paper industry is a highly sophisticated industry in terms of technology, in which it is necessary to use machinery compliant with very strict requirements. Paper machines work at very high speeds, and at very high pressures and temperatures.

To make paper, cellulose fibres are mixed with water, which gives rise to paste-like mixtures and products. This is why special assemblies are recommended:
– API plan with a double cartridge and tank (API 52, 54) to ensure the permanent lubrication of the contact surfaces.

In the canning sector, and especially in the canning of tomatoes, different types of mechanical seals are used in all the process phases, from grinding operations to hot break, sifting, evaporation and pasteurization operations.It is common to find large double mechanical multi spring seals, conical spring seals or wave spring seals that guarantee perfect sealing of fluids with a high particle content.
